Safety and well-being

Our number one priority is the safety of everyone at our camps. We achieve this through relentless pursuit of excellence in all we do and ensure we have:

  • Highly qualified, experienced and DBS vetted staff

  • Age appropriate groups and equipment

  • Low coach to child ratios - typically 2 to 3 times better than required

  • Risk assessments for all activities and locations

  • A culture of listening to and supporting children and parents

  • Paediatric first aiders on site throughout each day

  • In house safeguarding training and support for our staff

Additionally, as parents ourselves, we understand how daunting a new place and new people can be for some children. We have a vault of experience with supporting children to settle at our camps. The environment and friendly welcome by regular children at our camp goes a long way towards helping other children feel positive on their first day. We assign key workers to our Early Years children, so that there is an extra layer of care and encouragement for our youngest.

All children are different, so we'll make sure the super confident ones remember to say goodbye to their parents once they're signed in for the day. For children (or parents) that might be new to holiday camps we cannot stress enough how much we care that every child is given the same level of care and attention that we would hope for our own children. We can chat over the phone prior to the camp if families have unanswered questions and can provide feedback to parents during the day on how their child is settling in. There is, perhaps, no greater responsibility than looking after other people's children in loco parentis, and doing this exceptionally well is at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make.
