UPDATE 01/06/20

Green light to open

The government’s '5 tests have been met' and we have been given the all clear to reopen our holiday camps for all age groups. There was some initial confusion surrounding whether we could offer provision for school years 2-5, however these restrictions are administrative and specific to schools, due to their relatively small size, large population and systems that have been put in place that need to be tested. As with all business, we are taking safety guidance from working safely during coronavirus, as well as additional guidance regarding implementing protective measures in education and childcare settings

Amended timetable

We have amended our timetables for the summer, with activities that allow for significantly more social distancing than previously. There will be no contact sports but there are a huge range of new activities on offer. Take a look.

Please keep reading below for lots more info on our covid-19 position.

These are unusual times. Hopefully the information here will answer any parent questions, but if not, please contact us and we will answer any of your queries.

Coronavirus - essential information

What is London Sports Academy's' position on running camps during the coronavirus outbreak?

We will run all of our camps, unless ordered by the government not to. We will take additional steps to minimise the risk of spreading the coronavirus infection in line with Public Health England recommendations and additional camp specific actions (see below).

What is London Sports Academy's cancellation policy?

  • As with all of our camps, we operate a no questions asked 100% refund on any cancelled bookings if 48 hours of notice is given by parents prior to the start of their booking.

  • Additionally, if a child is booked on for multiple dates, a booking can be amended and part refunded should a cancellation be requested. E.g. A parent cancels on Monday, the Thursday and Friday days are eligible for 100% refund.

  • Should any London Sports Academy camp be cancelled, a full refund will be given irrespective of the proximity to the start date. e.g. we are forced to cancel on the Sunday, all Monday and rest of the week bookings will be 100% refunded.

What will London Sports Academy do to minimise risk of infection?

  • Contact free temperature reading at registration for all staff and children. Any person with a fever will not be able to attend the day. The person will not be able to attend the camp for a minimum 7 day period after any fever has passed and retested for fever should they return later in the holidays.

  • Maintenance throughout each day of 2m social distancing wherever possible.

  • The timetable of activities is amended to reduce contact with other people at the camp and allow for social distancing throughout.

  • All staff and children will wash hands thoroughly after every activity session, break and lunch.

  • Alcohol based hand sanitiser and wipes will be available and used by all staff and children throughout each day.

  • All equipment will be wiped with alcohol wipes at the beginning and end of every session.

  • The daily briefing to all staff and children will set out expectations regarding contact and hygiene.

  • A 100% refund of missed days will be given for any child not able to attend the camp due to fever.

  • Any other guidance set out by Public Health England will be adhered to and we are following guidelines from Coronavirus (COVID-19): implementing social distancing in education and childcare settings.
